Personal Training

Anne Altizer, BA, MA, CPT, RYT, Health & Wellness Coach

What is personal training?

Personal training is a partnership between trainer and client that guides the client toward changes they want to make to be strong, flexible, and mobile. Personal trainers are change agents. They understand how the human body works and performs and how to optimize it while reducing the risk of injury.

As a National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) Certified Personal Trainer and Yoga Alliance certified Yoga Instructor, Anne works with clients to help safely meet their goals for personal strength, flexibility, and range of motion.

Anne is not only highly trained in personal fitness, health, and wellness, she is a competitive runner and has overcome significant challenges including catastrophic injury and acute serious illness as well as managing her own mid-life-onset chronic autoimmune disease. Read about Anne’s background, expertise, and training that enables her to coach clients to improved health, wellness, and personal performance.

Who uses a Personal trainer?

People seeking positive change in their physical fitness and performance find value in personal coaching. Whether you are a competitive athlete or weekend warrior, or someone who’s been inactive out of habit or injury, the benefits of a personal trainer are significant?

  • avoiding injury in training - regardless of your history.

  • finding the lines between what’s comfortable and what makes stronger

  • changing the shape, look, and feel of your own body as you increase what it does for you.

What can You expect?

Anne’s clients expect and receive personalized support in defining and achieving their fitness goals. Clients value Anne’s candid and direct yet supportive approach, her deep expertise and knowledge in performance and wellness, and her personal style of appreciating the seriousness of the work with a sense of lightness and humor that can make hard work less difficult. As an allied health professional, Anne is bound by strict rules of confidentiality, data protection, and codes of ethics.

How Does this work?

“In personal training, the expert on what the client needs is the trainer.”

Whether done in collaboration with a client’s health care provider team or just the client, Anne provides a complimentary information-sharing session to gather necessary information and outline the process to create the plan and explore fitness goals. Personal training isn’t health coaching but is a scheduled series of 30 or 50-minute virtual workouts that can be done anywhere you have privacy, internet, and a camera.

How much does this cost?

The initial, exploratory session is complimentary. Package prices for sessions are developed based on frequency and duration. All services are done virtually.
